A continuation of Ford's earlier novel, 'The Rash Act', which focused on the suicide of one of it's main characters.

In the novel the surviving character finds his life beginning to mirror the misery and chaos of his departed friend's life.

A peculiar experiment in anxiety and paranoia, in this late New York period, Ford's novel is quite scarce in any state.
